Grove Patterson Academy was part of the Ohio School Facilities Commission program to replace aged school buildings for Toledo Public Schools. During the programming stage, several sites were studied for the new location. The new Grove Patterson Academy serves 450 children in grades K-8. Situated in a quaint neighborhood near the University of Toledo and Grove Patterson Park, the school serves as a civic anchor in the community where the clock tower is a central gathering place for its residents and the students.
